FitHub YYC Free Trial Policy

Eligibility Requirements

Geographic Eligibility

All free trial participants must be current residents of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This requirement ensures that our free trial program serves our local community and potential long-term members. Proof of Calgary residency may be requested at the time of your visit, including but not limited to a valid Alberta driver's license, utility bill, or lease agreement showing a Calgary address.

Age Requirement

Participants must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for a free trial. Valid government-issued photo identification will be required upon arrival to verify age and identity. Minors (under 18) are not eligible for free trials and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who holds a valid membership.

Previous Membership Status

Free trials are exclusively available to individuals who have never held a membership at YYC FitHub. This includes any type of membership (monthly, annual, day passes, etc.) at any point in the past. Former members, regardless of how long ago their membership ended, are not eligible for free trials.

Visitor Restrictions

Free trials are not available to individuals visiting Calgary temporarily or those who do not intend to establish ongoing membership. This includes tourists, business travelers, or individuals visiting from other cities. The free trial program is designed to introduce potential long-term members to our facility and community.

Reservation and Vetting Rights

YYC FitHub reserves the absolute right to review, vet, and approve or deny any free trial registration at our sole discretion. Factors that may result in denial include but are not limited to:

• Incomplete or inaccurate information provided during registration
• Failure to meet any eligibility requirements
• Previous violations of gym policies or inappropriate behavior
• Suspicious activity or potential abuse of the free trial system
• Capacity limitations or scheduling conflicts

Abuse Prevention Measures

One Trial Per Person Lifetime Policy

Each individual is entitled to exactly one free trial in their lifetime. Attempts to circumvent this policy through any means will result in permanent ineligibility for free trials and potential membership restrictions.

Identity Verification

Valid government-issued photo identification is required for all free trial participants. The name on the identification must match the name used during registration. Fake, altered, or borrowed identification will result in immediate denial of service and potential legal action.

Digital Data

Our system tracks multiple data points to prevent abuse, including:

• Email addresses (each email can only be used once)
• Phone numbers (each phone number can only be used once)
• IP addresses
• Credit card or payment method information (if provided)

Multiple Registration Prevention

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification:

• Creating multiple accounts with different email addresses
• Using family members' or friends' information to obtain additional trials
• Providing false personal information
• Using temporary or disposable email addresses
• Coordinating with others to abuse the system

Address and Household Verification

Only one free trial per household address is permitted within a 12-month period. This prevents individuals from using family members' information to obtain multiple trials.

Marketing Communications and Consent

By registering for a free trial, participants automatically consent to receive marketing communications from YYC FitHub, including:

SMS Communications

• Initial booking confirmation and instructions
• Reminder messages about your scheduled trial
• Follow-up messages after your visit
• Promotional offers and membership information
• General gym updates and announcements

Email Marketing

• Welcome sequence introducing FitHub's services and community
• Membership offers and pricing information
• Class schedules and special events
• Health and fitness tips and content
• Periodic newsletters and updates

Communication Preferences

While initial communications are mandatory to facilitate your free trial experience, you may opt out of ongoing marketing communications at any time by:

• Replying "STOP" to SMS messages
• Using the unsubscribe link in emails
• Contacting our front desk directly

Trial Experience Guidelines

Duration and Access

Free trials provide access to the facility for one complete workout session on your scheduled date. There is no time limit on your visit, allowing you to fully experience our equipment, amenities, and atmosphere.

Scheduling Requirements

• Trials must be scheduled in advance through our booking system
• Time slots are available in 30-minute intervals during operating hours
• Participants must arrive within 15 minutes of their scheduled time
• Rescheduling is permitted once, subject to availability

What's Included

Your free trial includes:

• Full access to all gym equipment and facilities
• Use of locker rooms and changing areas
• Complimentary fitness assessment (optional)
• Introduction to staff and facility tour
• Information about membership options and pricing

What's Not Included

The following services require separate payment or membership:

• Personal training sessions
• Group fitness classes (some exceptions may apply)
• Specialized equipment rentals
• Nutritional supplements or products
• Guest privileges for accompanying individuals

Facility Rules and Expectations

Behaviour Standards

All free trial participants must adhere to the same standards of conduct expected of members:

• Respectful treatment of staff, members, and equipment
• Appropriate gym attire required at all times
• No photography or videography without explicit permission
• Compliance with all posted facility rules and guidelines

Safety Requirements

• Participants must complete a basic health screening questionnaire
• Proper footwear is mandatory in all workout areas
• Spotters or assistance must be requested for heavy lifting
• Any injuries or incidents must be reported immediately to staff

Data Privacy and Usage

Information Collection

During registration and your visit, we collect personal information including:

• Contact details (name, phone, email, address)
• Emergency contact information
• Basic health and fitness information
• Visit preferences and feedback

Information Usage

Collected information is used for:

• Facilitating your free trial experience
• Safety and emergency contact purposes
• Marketing and membership follow-up communications
• Improving our services and facilities
• Compliance with legal and insurance requirements

Information Protection

YYC FitHub is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Your information will not be sold to third parties, though we may share information with service providers who assist in delivering our services.

Violation Consequences

Immediate Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in:

• Immediate termination of free trial privileges
• Removal from the facility
• Permanent ban from future free trials
• Restriction from purchasing memberships

Legal Consequences

Serious violations, including fraud, identity theft, or providing false information, may result in:

• Referral to law enforcement agencies
• Civil legal action to recover damages
• Criminal charges where applicable
• Permanent trespass orders

Policy Updates and Modifications

YYC FitHub reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our free trial system constitutes acceptance of any policy modifications.
